Schuman's Record Falls as Oregon Star Rises
It was a scorching Sunday here in Oregon as the Schuman's National Underclassmen Combine swung through the State. The event saw the rise of a star in Colt Lyerla who ripped the event apart. At 6'5" and 225 pound this 10th grader showed why coaches are hot on him. Colt had a 4.62 40 yard time, a blazing 4.2 Pro Agility Shuttle, 27 reps on the bench, and an amazing 38.5 inches on the Vertical Jump. But it was the standing Broad Jump that impressed most and the Oregon Native blew up the all-time records with laps of 10'8", 10'9", and 10'10". This is an all time record for the events which area held at up to 100 cities every year and have been for almost 10 years.
This record wowed the fans and to see a big man especially do it was most impressive! Great Job Colt. Some lucky college will have a great athlete and young man on their hands!
