Meet Oregon's Best Receiver: 2010

Meet Oregon's Best Receiver: 2010 Meet wide receiver Alex Toureen. The 2010 League MVP that shattered multiple school and league records over the past two seasons. His 2010 season was highlighted by Cottage Grove's (9-2) record.

Toureen is currently ranked second in the country in receiving Touchdowns (26), and eighth nationally in yardage (1647).

Toureen is listed as the #3 receiver in the state by OregonPreps/Rivals.Com behind two solid D-1 Receivers, one of which has already committed.

He is also ranked #19 overall on the Oregon Preps Top 100 for the class of 2011'. The first 16 individuals on this list all currently hold D-1 offers so Toureen looks like a good fit for a team in need of a game changing athlete.

Toureen broke onto the scene after a 2009 campaign where he received First Team all league honors at three different positions (WR/DB/KR).

He showed that he was the real deal and not just a good 4a athlete while shining at both Oregon and Oregon State NIKE Football Training Camps.

His route running was as good if not better then every receiver at the camp, which included big time stars such as Kasen Williams (Skyline, WA) and Colt Lyerla (Hillsboro, OR).

He is #1 in Oregon in almost every statistical category and ranks towards the top nationally as well.

There is little question that Toureen is at least a D-1 AA receiver that could come in and contribute right away.

Toureen is one of the better receivers to come through Oregon this decade and his modest frame doesn't do him justice.

Some school will be getting a gem if they can look past the the size related question marks.

His 2010' stats read as follows.

69 receptions
22 rushes
18 returns
4 Int's
2676 All purpose Yds
1647 Receiving Yards
32 Total Touchdowns
26 Receiving Td's
Sky Em Conference MVP
Oregon Class 4A Player of the Year Candidate
